Description
“Sand developed an experimental, token-operated computer arcade, called ComputerCade, designed to engage adult visitors with computers, while bringing revenue to the museum. It was installed in the lobby of the museum’s new Mugar Omni Theater in the spring of 1987 utilizing five Macintosh computers running specifically-modified software. During it’s year-long trial, ComputerCade allowed visitors to make anagrams from their name (Ars Magna), create facial re-arrangements (Mac-A-Mug), and play electronic music (Sound Studio), before succumbing to the rigors of overuse.” (source: Michael Sand, Inc. promotional booklet)
